A new partner for us this season is a scarf maker in Pakistan, their line of textiles uses indigo, made in collaboration with Ajrak artisans in Sindh.
They dye each piece in numerous layers, creating textiles that are nuanced and rich in texture and color. Using hand-carved wooden blocks, the stripes are printed using a resist before being submerged in natural dyes.
The collections are also thoughtfully created, taking care to not use any harmful dyeing processes and always striving for zero waste. They work with beautiful colors of and from the earth, including indigo, madder, and iron.
This particular woven scarf is quite large and due to it's light weight it can be scrunched up to wear effortlessly. We love this scarf so much, its a thing of beauty and so versatile!
