Men's Harrington Jacket (Dark Navy)
We’ve always been underwhelmed by the quality and available styles of Harrington jackets that you can find these days. So, we’ve created what we believe to be the ultimate Harrington. Created in the 1930s in England, Harrington jackets were at first designed to protect golfers playing in heavy rain without inhibiting their performance. In the post-war period, the Harrington jacket’s appeal grew thanks to the likes of Elvis Presley and James Dean who made them eminently cool. Since then, they’ve been a steadfast option of a casual jacket and have been worn by a range of different tribes and subcultures due to its versatility that affords it to be worn in numerous ways.
Our Harrington jacket has been crafted by the heritage brand Mackintosh in their state-of-the-art factory in Lancashire using a navy nylon & polyester blend fabric sourced from Olmetex, which is a world-leading technical fabric specialist in Italy. With help of the heat-sealed seams which are applied by hand, it effortlessly repels water whilst also providing protection from strong winds.
In terms of the design, we’ve given the Harrington jacket a sleek makeover by removing the lining, lengthening it ever so slightly to be longer than your average one, and giving it a kissing welt down the centre to cover the two-way zip. The result is a streamlined and noticeably smarter jacket. Smaller details include a throat latch for added protection, adjustable cuffs and a corduroy trim on the inside of the collar which is a TWC signature touch.
Versatile and easy to wear, this Harrington jacket is one of those pieces you can always rely on providing style, substance and function in equal measures.
