Mens Wool SB Overcoat (Grey)

£445 £595

Our grey wool Overcoat breaks new ground for us at TWC, as it’s one of the first coats we’ve produced that veers closer towards the more formal end of the outerwear spectrum.

Exclusively made for us by our friends Mackintosh in their state-of-the-art factory in Yorkshire, England, it’s a classic style of overcoat that the mightily experienced heritage brand has produced versions of since 1821. The coat is made from a formal 100% Italian wool fabric which we had the privilege of selecting from Mackintosh’s library of vintage cloths. While it appears to be very traditional due its grey-hue and luxurious handle, it is, in fact, impressively water and wind resistant thanks to it being composed of two layers of fabric that have been bonded together.

In terms of the design, it’s unlined and has a streamlined appearance with its concealed placket and straight fit which gives it a classic and timeless look. There are two large pockets on the front to warm your hands in, plus one internal pocket to safely store your essentials. Elsewhere, the collar has been reinforced to stand up firmly and there’s also a removable throat latch that can be called upon if the weather turns really bad. The buttons have been made in partnership with Courtney & Co, which is one of the last remaining British button manufacturers, and whilst they might sound like insignificant details, for us at TWC it’s the small things that count. With cold weather en-route, we believe that this overcoat will provide all the necessary protection needed whilst also offering a smarter look than what you may have seen before from us. We aim to create wardrobe staples that will be worn season after season, and this is certainly one of them.
