Our Navy Wool Suit in Italian high-twist wool, cut as casual tailoring rather than formal dress. The jacket is our Barnes, soft and unstructured; the trouser is our Jackson, slim and clean through the leg. Wear them together, or apart with a knit, a shirt or a T-shirt.
The Cloth: Woven in the Biella district of Piedmont by a mill founded in 1959. High-twist yarns give a dry, springy handle that recovers from creasing, breathes well and travels better than almost any other wool. A suit you can wear year round, and pack.
The Jacket: Single-breasted with two buttons and a soft, unpadded shoulder. Butterfly lined, keeping it light and easy, with lined sleeves so it slips on smoothly. Patch hip pockets, a barchetta breast pocket, AMF topstitching, side vents, genuine horn buttons and working four-button cuffs.
The Trouser: Flat front, normal rise and a slim leg. Sartorial side adjusters with buckles, so no belt is needed. Slanted front pockets, two jetted back pockets, a waistband extension with French bearer, three-button and zip fly, a curtain waistband for shape, and a rear vent for ease when seated.
