Introducing our Indigo Japanese Selvedge Jacket. 

A new iteration, this time in raw denim, a classic staple that seamlessly blends comfort and style. Crafted in a regular fit for ease of layering and versatility, this jacket is designed to stand the test of time. Japanese Craftsmanship: Woven by the renowned Japanese 'Collect Mill' in narrow loom 13.5oz indigo denim, this jacket embodies the meticulous craftsmanship that Japan is celebrated for. The result is a jacket that exudes quality and authenticity. 

Fit: Our Birch Denim Jacket is designed to a slightly shrunken fit - not boxy or oversized. While our spec hasn’t changed in 10 years, this latest delivery fits a little more snug than previous versions. We purposely made this raw denim jacket a bit larger so that you eventually decide to wash it, it will still fit well. However, we do still recommend sizing up for the best fit.

Unique Details: Our signature Japanese Sashiko embroidered interior pocket, unique branded hardware, and tonal twill detailing on cuffs and pocket flaps set this jacket apart from the rest.

Manufactured in China (but not as you'd imagine): 
As an ever-evolving brand where quality, sustainability, and craftsmanship reign supreme, our choice to collaborate with a small artisan factory in China (the sister factory to Japan) with only 30 workers - is a deliberate step towards excellence.

We have chosen to support our Japanese jean maker who set up a small factory in China five years ago, with the ambition of teaching them the 'Japanese way' and focus on the art of the craft rather than making huge quantities. Our journey has led us to discover that the essence of craftsmanship knows no geographical boundaries. Our decision to manufacture in China is not about cutting corners; it's about finding the perfect blend of craftsmanship, efficiency, and global collaboration to create garments that reflect our commitment to quality and sustainability. It's a journey that transcends borders, bringing the best of the world to your wardrobe. But, just as important for us this is about our belief and trust in our friends' vision to oversee the artisan practice of crafting the best quality possible.
