Introducing the Kennet Shirt in Washed Japanese Denim, our considered interpretation of the classic western shirt. Relaxed, versatile and quietly understated, it combines authentic workwear details with exceptional Japanese craftsmanship, resulting in a shirt that feels lived-in from the very first wear.

Japanese Denim: Woven in Okayama, Japan from a beautifully textured slub denim, this cloth shares its origins with our Butcher Pant. A carefully controlled 45-minute stone wash—using no chemicals—softens the fabric, enhances its natural character and creates an authentic, timeworn appearance while preserving the richness of the indigo.

Relaxed, Effortless Fit: Cut with a relaxed, slightly oversized silhouette, the Kennet is designed for easy layering over lightweight knitwear and jersey or worn buttoned up and tucked into your favourite jeans. Comfortable without feeling oversized, it offers effortless versatility throughout the year.

Authentic Western Details: Snap fastenings, western-style yokes and carefully considered proportions pay tribute to classic American workwear, while staying true to the understated aesthetic that defines TWC. Like all great indigo garments, the Kennet will continue to soften and fade beautifully, developing a unique patina with every wear.

Designed in the UK and crafted from exceptional Japanese denim, the Kennet Shirt is our enduring take on an iconic wardrobe staple—built to be worn for years and improve with age.

When it comes to fabric, fit and construction, we're purists.

Fabric Obsessed

When a material falls short, we go back to the beginning. From waxed cotton to Donegal wool to Japanese denim, every cloth we choose has to justify itself in wear. If it's not the best, it's not TWC.
