Our made to order service is more than tailoring, it's a personal experience built around you. Every appointment is an exploration of your style, your occasion, and the details that make a suit feel like it was always yours. We offer expert guidance on shape, cloth, and fit at every stage, ensuring the finished garment not only meets your expectations but exceeds them.

Working from three considered silhouettes designed by Adam, each suit is made to your exact measurements – accounting for posture, proportion, and the way you carry yourself. The result is something you won't find on a rail.

The entire process takes 6 to 8 weeks from first appointment to collection. Suits start from £995, with the full range running higher depending on cloth and construction. By appointment only, at 58 Chiltern Street, London W1U 7QZ.

Appointment 1

The Conversation & First Fitting

Your journey begins with an unhurried consultation at our Chiltern Street atelier. Whether you arrive with a clear vision or simply a feeling, we'll lead you through every decision – from selecting cloth and settling on a silhouette, to refining the details that make a suit personal. Lapel width, lining, buttons — nothing is left unconsidered.

We'll take a comprehensive set of measurements, accounting for posture and proportion to ensure the suit works with your body rather than against it. Our cloth selection draws from some of the most prestigious mills in the world – including Loro Piana and a curated range of Japanese fabrics chosen for their character and weight. The consultation typically lasts around an hour.

A few weeks later, you'll return for your first fitting. The suit is assembled and beginning to take shape. We assess how it sits, mark what needs refining, and make note of every adjustment needed before the next stage.

Appointment 2

Second Fitting & Alterations

The alterations from your first fitting have been made. This is where the suit starts to feel like it truly belongs to you. Proportions are dialled in, details are confirmed, and any remaining refinements are addressed. We take our time here — because this is where the difference between a good suit and the right suit is made.

Every adjustment is recorded and kept on file, making future commissions with us seamless from the outset.

Appointment 3

Collection

Your suit is finished, pressed, and ready. You'll try it on one final time – not because we expect anything to be wrong, but because we want you to feel it properly before it leaves the atelier. When you walk out of Chiltern Street, it's entirely yours.

Loro Piana, Dormeuil, Zegna, to name a few...

Fabrics From Only the Best Mills

We work with mills that set the standard for quality – including Loro Piana and a curated selection of Japanese fabrics chosen for their character, weight, and longevity. At your first appointment we'll walk you through the options and help you find the right cloth for your suit.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • "Do I need to know exactly what I want before I come in?"
It always helps to have a rough idea — a photo or a magazine cutting works well — but it's absolutely not necessary. Part of what the first appointment is for is helping you discover what you like and what you don't. Sometimes arriving with an open mind is the best starting point. We've found some of our most interesting suits have come from customers who walked in unsure and left with something they'd never have considered otherwise.

  • "What happens at my first appointment, and how long should I allow?"
Allow around an hour. We start with a coffee, then work through everything together — silhouette and fit options, design details, cloth, colour, texture. We'll talk about the occasion too, and the long-term intention for the piece. Is this something you'll reach for throughout the week, or is it built around a specific event? By the end of the appointment we aim to have a clear picture of exactly what you want and how best to achieve it.

Appointments are by appointment only at our atelier at 58 Chiltern Street, London W1U 7QZ. You can book directly using the appointment tool on this page.

  • "What cloth options are available, and how do you help me choose?"
We work with a wide range of cloths — from super-fine wool blends through to heavier tweeds and wovens. Our cloth selection includes some of the most respected mills in the world, among them Loro Piana and Dormeuil from Italy, and a curated selection of rare Japanese fabrics sourced specifically for their character and weight. We also carry some exceptional British wools. Adam has long relationships with the best mills and can go the extra mile if you're looking for something very specific. We'll walk you through everything at your first appointment and help you find the right cloth for what you have in mind.

  • "What details can I personalise — lining, lapels, buttons?"
Quite a lot, depending on the cut. Lapel width, pocket design, button choice, and lining are all decisions you'll have a hand in. We can also add monogrammed initials to the underside of the collar. It's these smaller details that set the tone for the whole piece — much like a true bespoke service — and make it unmistakably yours.

  • "How many appointments will I need, and how far apart are they?"
Usually two or three. After the first appointment, once the style and cloth are confirmed, we place the order and your suit is typically ready within six weeks. We'll contact you when it arrives for a second fitting — often everything is perfect at this stage and you can take it home the same day. If any minor adjustments are needed, we'll have you back for a third visit one to two weeks later. The whole process takes six to eight weeks depending on whether amendments are required. Your completed suit is collected in person at our Chiltern Street store.

  • "What if I have a deadline — a wedding or a specific event?"
We can offer an express service at an additional charge, with some orders completed in as little as three to four weeks. If you're ordering for a wedding or specific event, please let us know your date at the first appointment so we can plan the timeline accordingly. We'd always recommend getting in touch as early as possible — eight to ten weeks ahead is ideal for a standard commission.

  • "How do you get the fit right — and how will I know if my suit fits properly?"
This is where Adam's experience in tailoring really comes into its own. A well-fitting suit should feel clean across the chest with no pulling or excess cloth. The shoulder seam should sit at the edge of the shoulder without overhang. The seat of the trouser should be smooth with enough room to move, and the trouser break at the hem should be a deliberate choice — typically a slight break on the front. We take a comprehensive set of measurements at the first appointment, accounting for posture and proportion, and assess fit carefully at every subsequent visit. By the final collection appointment, everything should feel effortless.

  • "Is this just for weddings, or can a TWC suit be worn regularly?"
Our tailoring is built around the idea that a great suit should work throughout the week, not just on special occasions. Wear the jacket with raw denim and it instantly elevates a smart-casual look. A tailored trouser works just as well with a simple tee. The Birch denim jacket alongside tailored trousers is one of our favourite combinations. TWC tailoring is designed to work within your existing wardrobe — and we're happy to help you think through how to wear it, whether that means a silk pocket square or a well-chosen vintage tee. Styling well is part of the service.

  • "What does the price include, and what moves it up or down?"
Suits start from £995. The cloth is the primary driver of price — Adam can explain the differences at your first appointment, and there's a lot of interesting ground to cover. Beyond cloth, construction choices make a difference too: from a simple unstructured casual jacket to a fully structured suit with a floating canvas chest piece and lining, single or double breasted, soft or padded shoulder. All appointments and fittings are included in the price — there are no additional charges for the consultation or fitting stages beyond the suit itself.

Once your measurements are on file, reordering is straightforward. We can often work remotely for second commissions, by video call if needed. We go the extra mile, but above all we aim to make the process feel easy and enjoyable rather than complicated.
