Discover The Workers Club AW18, worn your way.

First up: Simon Crompton of Permanent Style.

TWC Worn Your Way 'Part One'

Here at The Workers Club, we design for the guy that knows his own style. He’s passionate, particular and often somewhat of a perfectionist. This season, we wanted to put some of our brand muses and industry favourites in front of the camera, wearing a piece they’ve personally picked from our AW18 collection.

Who better to shoot our series than JKF MAN, otherwise known as Jamie Ferguson. We’ve long been a fan of Jamie’s work and the ease with which he captures the spirit of his subjects.

As the man behind world renowned blog Permanent Style, it’s fair to say Simon Crompton knows a thing or two about good style. What Simon doesn’t know about luxury and classic menswear isn’t worth knowing, and like us, he’s obsessed with quality, provenance and the finer details. We’re kindred spirits so our AW17 Permanent Style pop-up came naturally, of course.

Simon wears The Workers Club Washed Denim Jacket.

We chat to Simon to learn more about the man behind Permanent Style:

"What does good style mean to you?"

Dressing in well-fitted, quality garments in classic styles. My ideal reaction from a passer-by is that they remember me as well-dressed, without there being any particular item or aspect that stood out.

"What drew you to select the denim jacket from TWC’s AW18 collection?"

I've never had a denim jacket before, so was intrigued to try it. It's not the kind of piece I'd normally wear, but I liked how well it worked with other, classically styled workwear pieces in my wardrobe. I also liked the quality points, such as the Japanese selvedge denim.

"What’s your ultimate favourite item of clothing that you own? “

A very hard question. Perhaps my first pair of really good shoes: monk straps from Edward Green. They've been stained, worn and re-soled so many times that they look like no other shoe and no other leather I've ever seen. Yet still beautiful.

"Lastly, We'd love to know; What’s on your Christmas list this year? "

For me? A big target is a luxurious shearling coat. I know it's a trend, and they're often not that practical in bad weather, but in a great quality they feel so sumptuous and cosy.

A huge Thank you to Jamie Fergusson (@jkf_man) for the great shots and to Simon Crompton (@permanentstylelondon) for selecting our Made in Japan Denim Jacket and of course wearing it so well!
